I don't have a MAC yet. Windows and various Unix(s) have been my flavor of O/S beast. So I guess I never really noticed if there are many external drives that can be used for both.

Regardless, NewerTech came out with a new external drive that packs 1TB of storage into a pretty nice package. Some of the features I like on this drive would be the following:

* Large 8MB, 16MB, or 32MB data cache
* Oxford 934 - High performance FireWire 400 and USB 2.0
* Compact 6.5" x 6.5" x 1.5" size
* Three Firewire 400 ports (1 uplink + 2 additional)
* Four USB 2.0 ports (1 uplink + 3 additional)
* Intelligent thermal monitoring activates fan only when needed to reduce power consumption and minimize noise output
* Fully bootable via USB or FireWire

But what I thought the coolest feature was the adding of this miniStack to an Airport Extreme wireless network. Doing so enables you to share files and other networked devies through the miniStack's integrated hub and USB ports.
